HAPPY SEVENTEENTH, LIESL!

I happened to find this in another classroom, and it sounded rather meaningful to me. This is dedicated to Liesl (Today's birthday girl), have a happy seventeenth birthday! (And yet again, I'm sorry if this isn't relevant, I don't know everyone well enough)

"Rainbows appear after mighty storms,
When things look their very worst.
Just when skies are darkest gray,
Look for the rainbow first.

The rainbow is a sign of God's promise,
That He will guide us through any storm.
That He will see us through all our troubles,
No matter what their form.

When you feel battered by Life's storms,
And you are filled with doubt and dismay,
Just remember God's rainbow will come,
For it's only a prayer away."

When it seems that everyone is against you, when everyone blames everything on you, when everything goes wrong and it seems that life has thrown everything it can at you, remember that through our darkest hours God will always help us. It really is as simple as the last stanza suggests, God really is only a prayer away! For it is written in Isaiah 40 Verses 29-31 "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

When we feel weak, we should then take it to God in prayer and let his strength empower us. When the task ahead seems impossible, remember Philippians 4 Verse 13 "I can do everything through him who gives me strength.".

Prinsep Lighthouse (PLH) is the youth ministry of Prinsep Street Presbyterian Church. It’s meant for all youths aged 13-18 years old to come together every Sunday for a fellowship as well as to worship God and learn more about Him.PLH is on every Sunday from 11am to 12.45pm. On usual Sundays, we have worship time from 11-11.30am. During worship, we sing songs of praise to God.

After which the youths will break up into their respective groups to do a Bible Study for the rest of the time there. These Bible Studies are led by Mentors, who are really nice and fun people and are very knowledgeable and helpful as well. While doing Bible Studies, we share about our life too! Our joy, our pride, our problems, our challenges..and through this, we make loads of great friends!!
