Life after Death and taxes

Hey taxi, send me straight to the heart of it,
The nucleus of politics was somebody
Somebody started it
Cause they taxed me with a scalpel piece by piece
they cut me deep and let me dry until there was nothing left to bleed

And this is how I chose to live
As if I'm jumping off a cliff
hoping that You'd save me [2x]
and after all the stupid things I did
there's nothing left for You to forgive
because You already forgave me
yeah You already forgave me

Keep driving
leave this deceit miles behind me
so far back I'd have to wrap my mind in
just remind me
I can't try this to pick myself up
and then move on
think about the life I'll have
when this fragile one is gone.

Never forget
there's life after death and taxes
Forgiveness come
and all of the rest
is what passes away
Death and decay can't touch us now

Every breath that I inhale is followed by exhaling
Trust the One who never failed
I know You've never failed me

Never forget
there's life after death and taxes
Forgiveness come (forgiveness come)
and all of the rest
it just passes away

Death and decay can't touch us now

The 2nd Korean hostage was killed today.
When in school people ask "If God is so powerful, why didn't He just stop them from dying? Like kill the taliban or help the hostages escape or something." Personally, i don't know the answer. I'm just a kid. But i know that the missionaries who were killed went to a better place, one without suffering or hardship, and while i feel sorry that this had to happen i'm also glad that they're not in pain or fear anymore. God allowed this to happen, so that it could work to His purpose.

Keep praying, guys. There is still hope.

Tim

Hi Guys! As we all move on to another week of school, let us remember what we have learned over the past few weeks in bible study and to put into practise what you have learnt. Let us all be like Christ and live out a God-filled life everyday! In this way, our friends in school will see the difference in our lives from the rest of the world, and they will be drawn to God's calling!

Over the past few weeks, plh has indeed seen a strong revival! I could see new faces every week and that is amazing! Great job for inviting your friends!! Let us all continue to reach out to them and bring them closer to our group, and ultimately, closer to our Lord Jesus Christ!

Also, continue to pray for the south koreans who are being held hostage. The world is witnessing a challenge in the christian community. Pray that God will use this situation to turn the tides around, and that it will lead to the advancement of HIS kingdom. Pray also that they will be firm in their faith as they go through this period of tribulation.

May God be the prime focus of our lives!

God Bless!

gabriel.

Hope

"Why did he have to die?" Amy whispered softly, her vision blurred by the tears welling up in her eyes.

Her father had just died while on a mission trip in Africa, captured and stabbed repeatedly to death by one of the tribes.

After the funeral, she bumped into someone. It was a pastor from her church. He had heard her whispered words.

"Amy, you asked God why your father had to die. Do you want to know why?"

"If God is so good, why would he let my father die? Why didn't He do anything to stop them from killing my father?" Amy sobbed.

"God was calling your father home, where he will spend eternity with God. Your father's work here on earth was done. The blood of a martyr will bring revival to a lost soul. Your father is at home, with God now." The pastor said gently to young Amy, and, though she was too young to fully understand what that meant, she nodded and smiled.

A few years later, Amy read in the newspaper of an African tribe that had been persecuted, because they believed in a different God, and had a few survivors who were being tortured and were going to be sacrificed by another tribe to their god. Amy's eyes began to cloud up with tears, as she remembered the pain of her father's death. Then she remembered what the pastor had said so many years ago.

That night, Amy bowed down, tears in her eyes, and prayed for the Africans.
---
This may be a simple story, but I hope it has taught us something...

Keep praying for the 22 Korean missionaries... May the 23rd rest in Peace with the Lord...

samantha :)

ATTENTION ALL CHRISTIANS
I think sometimes we're so comfortable with our own lives that we forget about this world that we're living in.
Please pray for the 23 Korean missionaries that were kidnapped by the Taliban 2 days ago.

Take it to the Lord in prayer

"God is good
All the time
He put a song of praise
In this heart of mine

God is good
All the time
Through the darkest night
His light will shine

God is good
God is good
All the time

If you're walking
Through a valley
And there are shadows all around
Do not fear
He will guide you
He will keep you safe and sound
For He has promised
To never leave you
Nor forsake you
And His Word is true

God is good
All the time
He put a song of praise
In this heart of mine

God is good
All the time
Through the darkest night
His light will shine

God is good
God is good
All the time

Though I may not understand
All the plans You have for me
My life is in Your hands
And through the eyes of faith
I can clearly see

God is good
All the time
He put a song of praise
In this heart of mine

God is good
All the time
Through the darkest night
His light wilil shine

God is good
God is good
All the time"

A simple song we all probably learnt and sang in Sunday School, right? Well, such simple songs have a deep meaning to it that most of us take for granted!

Are all of you are under immense exam pressure? Stress? Having emotional breakdowns? Well, I urge you all to take it all to Christ.

"Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7

Whatever problems you are facing, whatever stress you are under, whatever fears you have... Anything at all! Take it to the Lord in prayer. And draw strength from the Lord, and He will guide you through this. That is a promise we can all claim.

Of course, when He does answer your prayers, when the storm has passed, never forget to thank the one who helped you in your time of need. Always remember to glorify Him in everything we do!

"I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13

AMEN!

Samantha :)

Blog's up!

I FINALLY FINISHED THE SKIN.
xD

It's going to be 1am in 5 more minutes. haha.

Anyways. For authors blogging, please not that this space is truthfully, not that big.
For vids, please go to "edit html" and lower any number you see in the coding by a 100.
For pictures, i suggest the size "medium" -not too small and not so big it gets out of this space.

Annndd er. Your words are auto set to black already, so don't need to add colour. (: Unless its like, strikingly important, then yea, go ahead. (: But er, try not to use super light colours yea? cant see on white-tish background like this. (:

Hmms what else.
Oh yea. I added for you guys a calender, if you guys don't want it, you can just delete the portion away in the template- its rather easy to see where. (: No, HTML coding is not gibblish.

You guys can also add in its place OR add on birthday alerts and stuff like that.

Oh yea. I realized some people may have trouble seeing if can scroll anot. YES, both sides CAN be scrolled. Just that er. Might be a lil hard doing so. >.<>.<

What else...Oh yea, You can also add in authors in settings; permission! :D Then EVERYONE can write here! haha!

Yea. That should be it. ^^

Enjoy writing AND reading here! ;)
huixian.

p.s delete this when done reading if you like. ^^ this is all...so that you wouldn't have trouble with the skin. ESP with the vid and pics.

Send Revival Oh Lord

" We will seek Your face Almighty God
Turn and pray for You to heal our land
Father let revival start in us
Then every heart will know Your kingdom come

Lifting up the name of the Lord
In power and in unity
We will see the nations turn
Touching heaven, changing earth

Lifting up the name of the Lord
In power and in unity
We will see the nations turn
Touching heaven, changing earth
Touching heaven, changing earth

Never looking back we'll run the race
Giving our lives we'll gain the prize
We will take the harvest given us
Though we sow in tears, we'll reap in joy
Lifting up the name of the Lord
In power and in unity
We will see the nations turn
Touching heaven changing earth

Lifting up the name of the Lord
In power and in unity
We will see the nations turn
Touching heaven, changing earth
Touching heaven, changing earth

Hey guys! C'mon! Where's your church camp spirit gone?! How do you expect others to want to keep coming if we are all so dead? Sing! Jump! Shout to the Lord! Praise His name! Lift up the beautiful sound of worship to Him!

Like the lyrics of the song says, we have to first change ourselves before we can hope to change others! We must unite as one body of Christ! C'mon guys! WAKE UP!!

Keep praying, and God will continue His work of revival in us!

God bless PLH. HALLELUJAH... AMEN!!

Samantha :)

Youth Sunday '07!

The Youth Sunday '07 really rocked! I'm sure everyone would agree to that statement of mine! It was really great to see the whole of lighthouse working together to make this Youth Sunday a great success!

Special thanks to some people in particular, who helped out in the services, though I'm very sorry, but I can't identify every one of you, just want to thank you guys for the effort, and a job well done! ;)

And of course, thanks to all you plhers out there, who came early and sat through all three services, as well as gave the dance items! You guys did a great job! (I'm sure now the adults are sure that the youths have a lot of energy and life in them!)
Last but CERTAINLY not the least (after all, we must always save the best for the last)... Let us give thanks to the Lord for making this Youth Sunday such a success, and that everything ran smoothly!

Indeed, praise the Lord for making this whole thing a great success! Let us continue to serve Him in every way, and to be brimming with the Holy Spirit, ready to pour out His blessings to others in need around us!

Hallelujah
AMEN!

Samantha :)

PLHers!

Prinsep Lighthouse (PLH) is the youth ministry of Prinsep Street Presbyterian Church. It’s meant for all youths aged 13-18 years old to come together every Sunday for a fellowship as well as to worship God and learn more about Him.PLH is on every Sunday from 11am to 12.45pm. On usual Sundays, we have worship time from 11-11.30am. During worship, we sing songs of praise to God.

After which the youths will break up into their respective groups to do a Bible Study for the rest of the time there. These Bible Studies are led by Mentors, who are really nice and fun people and are very knowledgeable and helpful as well. While doing Bible Studies, we share about our life too! Our joy, our pride, our problems, our challenges..and through this, we make loads of great friends!!
