Heres a poem i found on a poster in my classroom. Maybe it'll have the same meaning to you as it does to me

"People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered
LOVE THEM ANYWAY

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives
DO GOOD ANYWAY

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies
SUCCEED ANYWAY

The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow
DO IT ANYWAY

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight
BUILD ANYWAY

People really need help but may attack you if you help them
HELP PEOPLE ANYWAY

Give the world the best you have and you may get kicked in the teeth
GIVE THE WORLD THE BEST YOU HAVE ANYWAY

Because in the end, its between you and God
It was never really about them
ANYWAY"

Its so true, isn't it? Every good thing that you do could be forgotten overnight, every great thing you try and build could be destroyed in an instant. But I'd like you to reread the last stanza. What we do on earth, we should do for God. After all, it is written "Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain." Psalm 127 Verse 1. In the end, everything we do should be for God's glory, and because of this, irregardless of what happens next, we know that God will be pleased with what we have done.

As a final thought, consider this. God sent his son to die for us. Even though we were, and still are, unworthy of such a sacrifice, he did it anyway. Even though we repeatedly sin in one way or the other, God still forgives us anyway. Even though we never did anything to deserve his divine love, God still loves us anyway. In light of this, isn't it time we set aside all the reasons we have for not doing the right thing, and just do it anyway?

Prinsep Lighthouse (PLH) is the youth ministry of Prinsep Street Presbyterian Church. It’s meant for all youths aged 13-18 years old to come together every Sunday for a fellowship as well as to worship God and learn more about Him.PLH is on every Sunday from 11am to 12.45pm. On usual Sundays, we have worship time from 11-11.30am. During worship, we sing songs of praise to God.

After which the youths will break up into their respective groups to do a Bible Study for the rest of the time there. These Bible Studies are led by Mentors, who are really nice and fun people and are very knowledgeable and helpful as well. While doing Bible Studies, we share about our life too! Our joy, our pride, our problems, our challenges..and through this, we make loads of great friends!!
