HEY EVERYONE!!! (:

How's everything? Just wanted to share something about thanksgiving (:

If you're having a really crappy day and feel like there's nothing to thank God for, remember that you can thank Him for getting you out of bed, while some people who never got to know Him will never get out of bed again.

You can thank Him for giving you the privilage of being His child, so you can go to Him with ALL your problems, while some people who don't know Him may have friends, family, pillow, diary... they don't have the PEACE of God that transcends all understanding, while we get it with a single prayer!

You can thank Him for giving you a roof to live under, a bed to sleep in, a blanket to cover yourself with, and, most importantly, His LOVE to rest in (: anytime, anywhere... while others who don't know Him may experience the love of wordly things and people, but not the patience, kindeness etc. (1 Corinthians13:4-8) that come with His wonderful, abounding and never ending love (:

You can thank Him for giving you a safe country, where we're not threatened by volcanoes, tidal waves, tsunamis, earthquakes etc., while other people whose countries are threatened may die without ever knowing His wonderful love...

You can thank Him for the opportunity to study, while other people our age might be working or staying at home and not know the beauty of God's wonderful creation, and just how wonderfully God made the world, all the creatures in it, and EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US, so that everything would work out perfectly (:

There are SO MANY things we can thank God for! My cell group teacher in school once told me "If you have nothing to thank God for, then something is really wrong..." Start by thanking God every morning! And you'll find that the day is SO much better, 'cos we can look on the bright side and thank God for that, instead of looking on the dark side and asking God why He let it happen... (:

I will enter His gates with THANKSGIVING in my heart
I will enter His courts with PRAISE
I will say THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE
I will REJOICE for HE HAS MADE ME GLAD

Keep this with you everyday, and your day will be so much brighter (:

Prinsep Lighthouse (PLH) is the youth ministry of Prinsep Street Presbyterian Church. It’s meant for all youths aged 13-18 years old to come together every Sunday for a fellowship as well as to worship God and learn more about Him.PLH is on every Sunday from 11am to 12.45pm. On usual Sundays, we have worship time from 11-11.30am. During worship, we sing songs of praise to God.

After which the youths will break up into their respective groups to do a Bible Study for the rest of the time there. These Bible Studies are led by Mentors, who are really nice and fun people and are very knowledgeable and helpful as well. While doing Bible Studies, we share about our life too! Our joy, our pride, our problems, our challenges..and through this, we make loads of great friends!!
